Makia Clothing has Invaded DealDash!

Makia Clothing has Invaded DealDash! And we LOVE it!

Have you seen all of the new Makia Clothing products that have been showing up on DealDash lately? There are a HUGE number of awesome Makia Clothing gear available, let me show you – starting with hats, we have the Makia Cap in Asphalt gray, Navy blue, and my personal favorite, the Makia Rooibos Tea Calypso Cap, which is a burnt sienna type of color.

Other than hats there are also backpacks and bags available – my favorite is the Sailor Bag in black and pink, but there is also a Duffle Bag and a backpack, both available in denim.

Makia is a clothing company that was founded in 2001 and based out of Helsinki, Finland. They offer a great variety of clothing, including both men’s and women’s styles, as well as gender-neutral items such as the hats and bags above, but they also offer scarves and wallets which we will hopefully be seeing on DealDash  soon!

Makia Clothing loves sports, they were actually a sponsor of the first ever Winter Olympic Team Zimbabwe last year! Makia provided the outfits for team Zimbabwe. In addition to winter sports, they also love racing! As a Southern girl transplanted up North I appreciate racing as much as the next girl! The Makia Racing Team was founded in 2012, and their star driver is Kimi Raikkonen, who drives for team Ferrari. They have come out with a line of racing gear such as hats, hoodies, and tee shirts. If we’re lucky maybe DealDash will start having Makia Racing gear available as well!

In addition to sports the folks at Makia Clothing love beer! Makia’s newest collection is actually inspired by it! They love beer so much that they decided to dedicate their whole spring-summer 2015 collection around it. They went on a multi-country expedition to get to know their muse a little better, and I have to say it was a success!

I hope you have enjoyed getting to know Makia Clothing a little better. Go get out there and try to win some, you will be glad you did! Good luck everyone!

How DealDash Helps My Family

Deal Dash has been influential in my life; especially how it has allowed me to help get new clothes for my granddaughter.

Because my daughter is a single parent and children grow so quickly, it can sometimes be a challenge to keep up with their fast growth and continuously buying new clothes. I do my best to help out and therefore try to win gift cards to TJX, Gap, Macy’,s and her most favorite store.. Justice!

The savings I get on the gift cards by shopping on DealDash afforded me to buy her the warmest winter parka, extra jogging outfits, hats, and more. Since we live in the Northeast, kids need everything to be warm in the winter and clothes can be so expensive! Deal Dash has become my clever way to save money and give a little something extra to my granddaughter.

When I first started bidding on DealDash.com I took the time to stay the course and try to win. Sometimes, auctions would take a long time but as a Grandma, I’ve got a lot of patience and I will do anything to help out. I took the time to read the blogs and get bidding tips like Top Tips, Winning Strategies And Ways To Get Free Bids. By learning how to play and utilizing the opportunities DealDash offers, I was able to make some really great deals! For me shopping on DealDash has made a real difference in taking some of the financial stress off my daughter by helping out and taking my granddaughter shopping. Besides, what little girl doesn’t love new clothes?

Like most senior citizens, I am on Social Security so I am limited on spending. My granddaughter is 8 years old and understands the concept of Deal Dash. I must say she is one of the best dressed and of course always excited to see those gift cards! Thank you Deal Dash… but are you ever going to bring back the Justice gift cards? 😉

Sincerely, Grandmadebbie

What you didn’t know about BidBuddy

I have written in the past about the use of DealDash’s Bid Buddy system. It is a great tool, to win auctions.

However it is also a great tool to learn how and when other players bid. Over the past few months I have really watched the patterns that some players have, and I started all of this with the Bid Buddy.

As you know the Bid Buddy books automatic bids, so if you want to step away from an auction and still participate in the auction, you are able to. However I have began to use it for more than just that. Each auction has a countdown timer, as to when it will begin. It is important to pay attention to this timer. When it hits 10 seconds the auction is now live.

My secret is to enter my automatic bids as close to 10 seconds as possible. This gives me a point of reference in the auction. If I manage to enter my bids at 11 or 12 seconds, I should be the last automatic bidder. When my name comes up in the auction, it is fairly simple to tell how many automatic bidders there are which can be really valuable information.

If my first automatic bid comes up early (15 to 20 cents) I know that there are only a few other bidders that I need to beat out. If it happens to be between myself and another automatic bidder, I will jump on that bidder so that they use their automatic bids, and hopefully no one else enters the auction, and I can win. These are just suggestions, however they can be useful. Hope they are helpful when you’re planning your next penny auction bidding strategy on DealDash.com.

WIN It or BIN It | How to Play Responsibly

My Advice when bidding on online auctions is to bid responsibly by not spending more money than you can afford.

Being responsible is expected with any kind of bidding sites as it is with gambling sites because in a sense, it is somewhat similar gambling. You have to set your limit and stick to it, otherwise, you will waste your money, time and resources and you won’t be having fun.

By setting limits, seek auctions that you would pay for out in the “real” world, auctions that have a Buy it Now (BIN) price that fits your budget. With DealDash, if you are bidding on an auction and don’t win it, you have the option to BIN it and get your bids back. It’s a Win-Win for everyone!

Another technique is to wait for the specials. I get emails on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis from DealDash telling me about discounted bid packages and holiday specials going on. Part of my DealDash bidding strategy is to buy the bid packages when they are on sale at 15 cents to save myself money and peruse the site for items I’m willing to BIN and wait for them.

RelatedTips and Tactics to Help New Bidders Win on DealDash.com

I will watch the timer to see when they start and tend to pick the ones where there is less “competition”, i.e. the middle of the night based on my research. Personally I find these auctions are less crowded, offering me more opportunity to win with less bids and money out of pocket. How about you? What time of day do you find best for bidding?

By Gigi Pence

A little about myself: I’ve been bidding on Deal Dash for about two years and really like it. I’ve gone to other sites but find myself coming back to DealDash because of the option exchange an item for bids when you win an auction and the option to buy it now and get your bids back if you don’t win.

Should BidBuddy Be Required?

DealDash BidBuddyWe have all been in DealDash auctions with bidders who constantly cut us off and stomp on our time as the highest bidders. It is frustrating to say the least. I have read the Blog posts both condemning and supporting these practices. I am not a supporter. I wonder, what if Bid Buddy was required and not optional?

If Bid Buddy was required, then one could plug-in as many bids as they choose and increase them as needed. It would sure stop the stomping and perhaps even lower the final costs of the auction selling price. Bidders would also collect their time as highest bidder and level up easier, collecting their free bids. I can’t help but think it would help newbies, in particular, from wasting bids before they know how to “play” the game of DealDash in order to have the best experience. If we stop them from wasting their bids, then we also stop them from wasting our bids.

Another secondary suggestion might be requiring use of the Bid Buddy until one reaches a certain level. That way bidders would need to gain the right to bid and understand how the process and Bid Buddy works before being able to manually bid. Oh some seasoned bidders will still stomp at will but at least it would cut down on some of the stomping. Just food for thought!

What do you think? Should Bid Buddy be required?
