Don’t Make That DealDash Mistake!

mistakes

No one can be perfect all of the time, and everyone makes mistakes. Here are some common DealDash mistakes to avoid while bidding.

We here at DealDash Blog would like to help you avoid mistakes. Here are some of the common mistakes that people make while using DealDash, and some ideas for how to overcome them. Hopefully, you will have a better experience bidding and winning on DealDash once you can avoid these mistakes.

A very common mistake that people tend to make on DealDash is not waiting for a great sale on bids! Did you know that after you have purchased your first introductory bid pack you can take advantage of the great bid sales that DealDash offers? Depending on the day and the sale, bid prices can range anywhere between .12 and .20 per bid? If you want to get the most for your money, the best idea is to wait for a super sale on bid packs and buy the largest bid pack than to buy smaller bid packs whenever you run out. Paying too much for bids is definitely a mistake that is easy to avoid if you plan ahead when you see a great price on DealDash bids.

Another mistake that’s easy to avoid on DealDash is bidding when you’re not at your peak. Don’t make the mistake of bidding on DealDash auctions when you are too tired, hungry, sick, or otherwise distracted. If there’s an auction that you feel that you simply must bid on when you aren’t feeling your best, then be sure to use your BidBuddy.

The BidBuddy is there to help you bid against the other players, and to be sure that you have the best chance at winning the auction. If you would like to use your BidBuddy just load him up with as many bids as you are willing to spend on an auction and let him bid for you. Don’t make the mistake of not using the BidBuddy when you can’t fully devote your attention to the auctions.

Another mistake that can be easily avoided is not being aware of the super sales that DealDash offers such as “Free Auction Day” and “Half-Price Auction Day.” These sales are a wonderful chance to pick up an auction win even cheaper than usual. In addition to those sales, it’s also a good practice to keep an eye out for DealDash’s “Time as the highest bidder” promotions. These promotions can give you double, triple, or sometimes even quadruple clock time when you are the highest bidder so you can earn free bids even faster than usual.

Don’t Get in Over Your Head on DealDash

screenshot-29

Bidding on DealDash can be so exciting that it’s easy to get caught up in the moment, and get in over your head. Here are some ways to keep yourself afloat.

DealDash doesn’t want you to get in over your head. DealDash wants you to bid responsibly and enjoy playing in the auctions. However, sometimes bidding and winning are just so much fun that it’s easy to get carried away. And once you get carried away and go over your bidding budget then you’re unhappy. DealDash wants you to enjoy your shopping entertainment experience. Here are some suggestions from DealDash to keep you from getting in over your head.

The main way that you can keep yourself from getting in over your head is setting strict bidding limits for yourself for each auction, and sticking to them. If you say that you’re only going to spend 100 bids on a particular auction, and you know that you have a very fierce competitive spirit and it’s hard for you to stop bidding when you’re in the moment, simply input your 100 bid budget into your BidBuddy and walk away. The BidBuddy is there for you to use however you like, from helping you bid while you are asleep or at work, or in this case to help you stick to your bidding budget.

Another way to keep your head above water while bidding is to bid on items you would buy anyway such as gift cards for K-Mart, Sears, fast food restaurants, Target and Wal-Mart, or even household items that you use daily such as laundry detergent pods. Remember, if you have gone over your bid limit and reached the BIN price on the item, use the “Buy it Now” option and pay retail price for the item. DealDash will when refund all of the bids you used on that item, and you can try again another day. This is really a great option for you if you tend to get carried away while you’re bidding on DealDash.

These are just a few helpful guidelines for keeping your budget and bids in check while playing on DealDash. It’s easy to get carried away, just try to follow my suggestions: remember to set a budget, use your BidBuddy, and keep calm. See you on DealDash everyone! Good luck and happy bidding.

“Why do they DO that?” on DealDash

Are you ever bidding on DealDash and bidders do something that you just don’t understand? Here are some insights as to why they might behave as they do.

Bidding on Deal Dash can be one of the best ways to find great products for an affordable price while having fun bidding on the auctions. However, an increasing number of people are flocking to DealDash and bidding side-by-side with bidders who have been around for years. Sometimes these newer bidders bid in ways that are different and confuse some of the other bidders. Here are some ideas as to why they might bid differently.

The first (and main) reason that bidder seem to bid erratically is that they don’t understand what they’re doing. These new bidders see the ads on TV for DealDash, and come join without thoroughly checking out the auctions first. If they are coming from a more traditional on-line bidding site they may not be aware of how our beloved DealDash works. There’s no way for you as a fellow bidder to educate them, so you will just have to ignore some of the new bidder habits, even though they are different from what you are used to seeing.

Another reason that bidders sometimes bid in strange ways is that they lack focus. They don’t come in with a plan for their bidding. Many of these bidders jump into three, four or more auctions at once – or worse yet, they just throw the bids around randomly hoping to “hit the jackpot” and win with just 1 or 2 bids. We all know that is very unlikely to happen, and they will realize that as well eventually. Playing multiple auctions can be exciting but if they don’t have a plan, they are very likely just wasting bids.

Finally, another reason that bidders seem to bid in a strange way is that they have that “I have to win” mentality. Some people just don’t seem to realize that winning each and every auction just isn’t reasonable or sustainable long-term. Don’t worry, as soon as these bidders take a few losses and end up “winning” an auction for twice as many bids as it would have taken them to just BIN (Buy It Now) they will most likely calm down and start bidding more reasonably.

DealDash auctions are an exciting way to use entertainment shopping to make purchases, but like any hobby, it takes time and experience to win consistently. Hopefully after reading this article you have a bit better understanding why some bidders bid as they do. Take your knowledge and go check out the auctions. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Love that Winning Feeling on DealDash

Image result for winning feeling That winning feeling is pretty common on DealDash. There are hundreds of winners every day!

Do you know the winning feeling that I am talking about? If you’re a frequent bidder on DealDash, of course you do! Winning on DealDash is sometimes very easy, and sometimes downright difficult – but once you see that big “CONGRATULATIONS!” it’s all worth it, and that’s the winning feeling that I’m talking about!

There are some categories that are easier to win than others – I find that video games, DVDs, and Blu-Rays are on the easier side to win. On the flip side of that coin, I find that the gift cards, especially the smaller $10 and $25 ones are more difficult to win. Why? Because most people don’t mind taking a chance on a $10 or $25 gift card to a store that they are planning on going anyway, such as Subway or Dunkin’ Donuts. They know if they don’t win the gift card outright, then they can always BIN (Buy It Now) and get the gift card, free shipping, and all of their bids back to use on another auction. Not only that, but they get to keep the “clock time” that they gained by bidding on the gift card. It’s a great situation to take advantage of the perks!

I have occasionally had awesome luck with winning gift cards, though. I once won a $25 Shell gas gift card for around $3 (plus the cost of bids, so around $5 total) so you just never know what’s going to happen when you bid on DealDash. That’s why they call it entertainment shopping.

Once you have had that winning feeling a few times – why don’t you share it? Have you invited your friends and family to join DealDash? You can’t bid on the same auctions at the same time, but why not share your love of DealDash with your nearest and dearest?

I hope this article has you thinking about your next big win. I want you to  get the most out of your DealDash experience. If you’re interested in reading even more tips and tricks check out the “Tactics & Tips” section on DealDash. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

A Few of My Many Mistakes

Image result for bad mistakeEven seasoned bidders make mistakes. Here are some of my top mistakes and how to fix them.

Everyone was a newbie once, and there are many fairly common mistakes that newbies make that we have numerous articles about here on the DealDash Blog. Even seasoned bidders such as myself make mistakes, too. Here are some of my top mistakes and the solutions to prevent or recover from them. With this knowledge we can improve your bidding so you can be as mistake-free as possible.

My first mistake, long ago, on my very first day of bidding on DealDash was not using my BidBuddy! I (very mistakenly) thought that setting up the BidBuddy meant that it was going to bid after every single bid that was placed. Which is completely wrong, of course! I just couldn’t understand how by using the BidBuddy I could save bids. After reading up on the BidBuddy (which I should have done first) I realized that our friend the BidBuddy bids in a pattern with the other BidBuddies, taking turns until there is only one BidBuddy or “live” bidder left. If I had just learned how to use my BidBuddy on my first day on DealDash I would have been less frustrated in the beginning.

Another mistake in my early bidding days was paying too much for bids. In addition to paying too much for bids, I should have also been more aware of the great auctions sales that DealDash offers such as “Free Auction Day” and “Half-Price Auction Day.” In my early days of bidding on DealDash  I would purchase smaller bid packs when I ran out instead of waiting for a low-priced bid sale and buying bigger packs. This of course, is not very cost-effective! If you want to get the most for your money,  a better plan is to wait for a great sale on bid packs and buy the largest bid pack than to buy smaller bid packs whenever you run out and pay too much for them. I liken it to shopping at the supermarket – Why buy a 1 pound bag of rice for $3.99 when you can buy a 5 pound bag of rice for $7.99? Sure, it seems like the $3.99 bag is a better deal, but it’s really not. Buy in bulk, save money.

The last mistake that I would like to talk about today is bidding within your budget. When I first started I was bidding willy-nilly – on laptops, iPads, and more. Those things weren’t in my budget to BIN (Buy It Now) if I didn’t win, so it was foolish of me to throw away 100 bids here and there on something that I wasn’t truly committed to buying. That’s why they call DealDash entertainment shopping. Sure, you might win a 55″ TV for 100 bids, but it’s not likely. That’s why it’s a much smarter idea to only bid on BIG things like that if you are already planning on buying one anyway. That way, if you win for less than the retail price, AWESOME! And if you don’t happen to win, then you can just pay the retail price and get all of your bids back plus free shipping. It’s truly a win-win situation!
