Thinking Like a Seasoned DealDash Bidder

DealDashIf you want to win more DealDash auctions you should start thinking like a seasoned bidder

Even if you’re a newbie that just joined DealDash today, you should start thinking like a seasoned bidder. There are some mistakes that most newbies make on DealDash that you can avoid by trying out this strategy. Read on for more information about thinking like a seasoned bidder on DealDash.

Figure Out How Dealdash Works

DealDash, while fairly self-explanatory to get started on, has many different features that you will want to learn how to use before you start bidding in earnest. For starters, DealDash runs on a “pay to bid” model. So if you want to participate in a DealDash auction, you will need to buy bids first. These bids come in packs of different amounts. DealDash is currently selling packs of 60, 300, 600, 1200, and 2400.

Don’t Bid on Just Anything

Now that you have a better understanding of how DealDash works and You’ve bought some bids, it’s time to browse. Seasoned bidders don’t bid on just anything that’s on the main auction screen. They take their time, do their research, and look through all of the upcoming auctions in their favorite categories.

Buy Bids on Sale

Another thing that seasoned bidders on DealDash know is not to buy bids when they are above .15! DealDash bids can range anywhere in price from .12 each all the way up to .60 each. However, they are frequently on sale for .13, .14, and .15. Why in the world would you buy a 2400 pack of bids at .18 each when you can get them for .13 a piece? That is literally a savings of $120!!! Wouldn’t you rather wait a few days and get such a great deal? That’s how a seasoned bidder thinks, and so should you!

BidBuddy is the Way to Bid

Seasoned bidders on DealDash know that the best way to bid is by using the BidBuddy. When I first started on DealDash I didn’t understand how the BidBuddy worked and I lost quite a few auctions by clicking too slowly while I was bidding.

The BidBuddy is available on every auction, and it doesn’t cost anything to use.  If you’d like to use the BidBuddy just open up a DealDash auction that you’re interested in winning. On the screen, you will see a space and a button that says “Book a Bid Buddy”. Click on the space that says “add bids here” and put in the number of bids that you are willing to spend on this particular DealDash auction. Then hit enter to get him started.

Seasoned bidders use the BidBuddy because they know that their internet could fail at any moment, the power could go out, the computer could start updating itself without warning, or any other number of reasons.

Reasons to BIN When You Don’t WIN

DealDash

If you’re not Buying It Now (BIN) when you don’t win, you’re missing out.

Have you been using the BIN feature on DealDash? You should, because Buying It Now is almost as good as winning the auction. I will explain more down below. However, know that doing a BIN on an auction that you don’t win will take the “sting” out of losing. To find out more about Buying It Now, read on down below.

BIN? What’s That Mean?

BIN is one of the best ideas that DealDash has ever come up with. There is no restriction on who can Buy It Now, other than the fact that you have to have placed at least one bid on that auction. Thus, it’s offered to every bidder in every auction, not just to the first few as I have seen on some other bidding sites. With BIN, you can purchase the item at the retail price that is listed on each and every auction page. Then, DealDash will return all of the bids that you spent on the auction to your bid bank.

Should I Always BIN?

If you’re wondering if you should BIN an auction or not, then you probably should! However, you don’t want to just guess if it makes good financial sense. You just need to do a little math to see how many bids that need to be placed before you reach the retail price.

This is easy to calculate, especially if DealDash is running a Free Auction Weekend promotion. Simply take the retail price of the item and divide it by the amount that you spent on each bid. The answer that you get is the amount of bids that you would need to spend to break even on the auction. For example, if you are bidding on a $100 item and you paid .15 per bid, your break even point would be 667 bids.

If it is not a day when DealDash is running a Free Auction promotion, then you need to estimate how much the auction will end at, and do your calculations from that. For example, if you do a little research and see that the sale $100 item typically ends for a final auction price of 10, then you need to take off that $10 before you do your calculations, so your break even price in this situation would be 600 bids.

If you end up spending the number of bids that you have previously calculated and you still haven’t won the auction, that’s when you know it’s time to BIN the auction. Don’t worry, though, because you will get every single bid that you spent returned to your account when you BIN the item. You will also get free shipping, Free shipping is something that DealDash offers on every item.

Have You Been Checking Out the DealDash Competition?

DealDashObserving the other DealDash bidders is the smart thing to do. Here is more information about how to get started.

Did you recently join DealDash? If so, you might want to start bidding and winning auctions right away. And you can, but should you? Maybe not. ANd here’s why: You should be taking the time to do research on your fellow bidders. Your fellow bidders are people from all walks of life who might think and act differently than you would in a situation. When you think about it that way, doesn’t it make sense to do a little reconnaissance on them? Read on for more information of what you should be looking for, from DealDash.

Watch on Free Auction Weekends

DealDash has “Free Auction Weekends” fairly often. When this happens, there is no final auction fee for the win. You just pay for your bids and a .01 transaction fee. The Free Auction Weekend promotion on DealDash is a great time to get to know your fellow bidders.

You can watch and learn quite a lot on these promotional days. You can learn who is truly willing to BIN (Buy It Now) an item, who bids for a moment and disappears, and who comes and goes. These are all good things to keep in your memory bank and look back on when you happen to be bidding against them in the future.

Get to Know Win and BIN

Earlier, I mentioned BINning an auction. The BIN is an important thing to think about and keep in mind when you are bidding in an auction. Doing a BIN (Buy It Now) on the auction that you enter if you don’t win makes good sense. When you BIN the item for the retail price you get ALL of the bids back that you placed, as well as getting free shipping. If you have done your research on your fellow bidders you will know who is going to go all the way to a BIN, and who probably won’t stay until the end.

Keep Track of Winners on Your Chosen Item

If you have a particular item that you are very excited about winning on DealDash, you’ll want to do not only research on the item but on the previous winners as well. You can only win one of a particular item per week, so if you are very interested in an item you can look and see who has already won it this week so you know that they won’t be able to bid on it again until seven days have passed.

What’s Up in DealDash’s Electronics and Computers Category?

DealDashVisit the Electronics and Computer category to see what’s new and interesting on DealDash.

The DealDash Electronics and Computer category is full of new, fun, and interesting things to browse and bid on. With the holidays coming up in the near future you’ll want to start thinking about what kinds of presents that you might want to get for your friends and family. Why not start looking on the DealDash Electronics and Computer category? Read on for more information.

Buy Gifts for Kids

If your kids are anything like mine, they love electronics. They don’t use their own computers yet, but they sure do love their tablets. If your kids are age five or older, they probably have some kind of personal electronic device such as an iPad, iTouch, or another MP3 player. What sort of thing are your kids interested in this year? Here are some suggestions of what you might like to try to win for them in the Dealdash Electronics and Computer category.

  • Drone. If you have older kids, such as age ten and up, they are probably interested in drones. Drones are cool and can be such a fun thing to do together as a family, exploring the neighborhood with your very own drone.
  • Headphones or earbuds. These make excellent stocking stuffers! Kids tend to lose and break things much easier than adults do, so it’s a smart idea to have a few extra sets on hand so they don’t have to stop using their MP3 players when they misplace their headphones.

What Does Dad Want?

It’s a fact, dads love electronics. From TVs to video game systems to computers, dads are always in the market for the latest and greatest items. If you’re not sure what dad might like for the holidays this year, here are some ideas that you can look for in the Dealdash Electronics and Computer category.

  • Portable Bluetooth Speaker. Dads love listening to music or “the game” while they are outside doing yard work or hanging out with their buddies. Why not give dad a treat and get him a portable bluetooth speaker?
  • Action Sports Camera. If dad is a sporty guy and enjoys surfing, skiing, golfing, or other outdoor pursuits he would love an action sports camera. They are tough and take excellent pictures and videos.

What Does Your College Student Need?

Buying a gift for a college student can be a tricky thing to do. You don’t want to pick them out clothing that they will never wear, so maybe you should stick with electronics. Here are some things they might like from the Dealdash‘s Electronics and Computer category.

  • Chromebook. Most college students already have full-sized laptops to do their schoolwork. However, what if they want to do their work at the coffee shop, library, or elsewhere? A Chromebook is much lighter and easier to carry, and very affordable.
  • Phone Case. If you’re looking for a stocking stuffer, a phone case fits the bill. College students love their Smartphones, and protecting them stylishly is important to them.

Download the DealDash App

Since you like electronics, you must have a smartphone. If you haven’t already, you need to download the DealDash app. You can buy bids, bookmark auctions so you can come back to them later, set or remove BidBuddies, and of course bid on auctions!

Want to win more on DealDash?

DealDash

There are certain things that you can do to win more on DealDash. Check out this article and figure out how!

DealDash has so many auctions going on at once, all day long, twenty-four hours per day, every single day of the year, you’re bound to win some of them. However, there are many things that you can do to win more. I’m sure that you want to win as many auctions as possible, so read on for more information from DealDash.

DealDash has More Auctions Than Ever

If you take a look at some of the other auction sites you might notice something a little disappointing. A lot of the other sites aren’t open 24/7! Let me tell you, I used to work the overnight shift when I first started bidding on DealDash. There were many nights at work when I felt very lonely. All I had to do was turn on DealDash and I was instantly among fellow bidders.

However, there are typically fewer bidders bidding at 3 and 4AM. So if you want to win more auctions, set your alarm clock for the middle of the night, and give some late night bidding a try. Once you’ve won a few auctions during the late night, you’ll see that this is a great way to improve your chances on DealDash.

You Always Win by BINning

Do you know how you can never lose on DealDash? By BINning when you don’t win! BINning means “Buy It Now” and is your best idea to save you money and bids on DealDash.

The reason why you can never lose with BIN is that you will end up getting all of your bids back when you BIN an item for its regular retail price. You can use those bids again. Not only that, you’ll even get free shipping on your item.

The reason that doing a BIN will help you to win is that you will have more bids available to use! If you pay for a BIN of an item that you were planning on purchasing anyway and you get your bids back then that means that you don’t have to buy another bid pack.

Set an Alert, Improve Your Chances

If you want to be notified of the things that you really, really want, then you need to set alerts on DealDash. Stop bidding on things that you are “lukewarm” on when you can bid on your most coveted items.

Setting an alert is super easy. Anyone can do it! Simply do a search for your coveted item using keywords. After that, click on the item to open up its own auction page. On the right side of the screen, you will see a blue button that says “Alert Me”. Click on the button, and when the item is coming up for auction DealDash will send you an email. Once you’ve done this you can be confident that you won’t miss the auction that you really want to bid on from DealDash.

Setting an alert on DealDash for the things that you have been thinking about will definitely improve your chances of finding the things that you desire. If you don’t set an alert, you don’t know what you might miss!
