  1. When was DealDash founded? DealDash was founded in February of 2009 by William Wolfram. Seven years later, the company has 8 million US registered shoppers.
  2. What does BIN stand for? Buy It Now. If you do not win an auction, you can get your bids back, by using the unique DealDash Buy It Now option. If you bid 100 times on a $50 Walmart Gift Card and don’t win, you can just buy the item for $50 and get all your bids back for free. You can now re-use your bids to try to win another auction!
  3. How much does DealDash charge for shipping? Nothing! DealDash offers free shipping on absolutely 100% of everything both won and BINned on the site. There is even free shipping on extremely heavy items such as furniture.
  4. How many items per week can you win? You may win up to 9 auctions per week. You can follow how many wins that you have accumulated by logging in and looking at the winning limit slots right next to the bid amount. The system will not allow you to bid after you have reached your limit. All remaining BidBuddies will be automatically cancelled.

You can put a limit on how many bids will be used, and you can cancel or cancel and re-start it at any point in the auction.
  7. Does DealDash ever give away free bids? Yes!! Anyone who has won an auction for a tangible item (no bid packs or gift cards) can post a photo of themselves with the item and post it on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Pinterest to earn bids. There is an article that I wrote detailing exactly how to accomplish this at this link here.
  8. How long do you have to pay for your auction after winning? You have exactly 14 days to pay for your winning auction. You can find your winning auctions on your DealDash dashboard.
  9. What hours is DealDash open for bidding? DealDash is open 24 hours, 7 days per week! Unlike a lot of other bidding sites, DealDash never closes, not even on holidays.

DealDash is Trustworthy, and Here’s Proof

Did you know that DealDash is a Better Business Bureau accredited business?

Not only that, even more impressively DealDash is actually rated an A+ on the Better Business Bureau. There are a few different ways that the Better Business Bureau uses to rate businesses. Some of these ways include:

  • Length of time business has been operating
  • Complaint volume filed with BBB for business of this size
  • Response to any complaint(s) filed against business
  • Resolution of complaint(s) filed against business

According to the Better Business Bureau website, they have a total of 156 reviews on BBB, and 145 of them are positive, and 5 of them are neutral. Those are some really great percentages of happy customers.

It’s just about impossible to be a large company without having any complaints at all, and DealDash has had just 22 complaints in the last year. That’s an amazingly low number of complaints if you take into consideration that DealDash does literally hundreds of transactions per day, and thousands upon thousands of members.

If the Better Business Bureau A+ rating doesn’t impress you – how about a 4.5 out of 5 star rating on SiteJabber? What is SiteJabber you might ask? SiteJabber is a web site for customers to find trustworthy online businesses and avoid scams. SiteJabber was founded in 2008 in San Francisco, California and has been described as “the Yelp for websites and online businesses”. Customers create SiteJabber accounts to rate and review online businesses using an overall star-rating as well as criteria such as service, value, shipping, returns and quality. SiteJabber receives over 1 million monthly visitors and have reviews of over 45,000 online businesses, so you know they’re legit.

If you go to SiteJabber and look up DealDash, they have 2,972 reviews and over 2,400 of the reviews are either 4 or 5 star ratings. Again, it’s so amazing considering how many people use DealDash every day.

I hope that this reassures those of you who might have been a little bit skeptical about exactly how legit DealDash really is. If you’re interested in reading even more tips and tricks check out the “Tactics & Tips” section on DealDash. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

Living Healthy: Do You Even Lift, DealDash?

Welcome back to DealDash Blog’s Living Healthy series. Today’s blog is all about weightlifting for beginners.

Are you ready to start your journey into weightlifting or weight training? If you’re a total beginner, then this article is for you! If you have already started your training regimen this might be a little too simple for you, but keep reading you never know when you might pick up a tip or two. I am going to tell you the simple and basic guidelines and rules for starting out in a weightlifting program; no matter if it’s for strength, weight loss, or just overall fitness this article can help you figure things out and really make the most of your new journey into being fit and healthy.

First, let’s talk about some things that you don’t want to do:

  • Using too much weight, too soon – this is a great way to injure yourself and ruin your fitness plan before you even get started. Pick a reasonable weight to start with, but if you can perform 30 reps with a certain weight, you probably should bump up the weight a little bit at a time.
  • Moving through repetitions too quickly, going too fast; because remember, there is nothing gained by lifting weights too fast. You should always lift weights in a slow and controlled manner. It’s better for the muscles, it increases tension and lessens the likely hood of having an accident and injuring yourself.

Now that we have a couple of the “don’ts” out of the way, let’s get to the “do’s”:

  • You don’t need to weight train every day to get healthy. Significant strength and fitness progress can be obtained obtained with only two workouts per week. Of course, it would be a great idea to get in some cardio exercises a couple of days per week, also. Don’t forget to also take a couple of days per week to rest, as well.
  • Take one day off from weight training between each workout. The days in between are the days that you should be getting in your cardio workouts.
  • For the best results, at least one set of 8-12 repetitions should be performed
  • It should take four to five seconds to complete one repetition through a complete range of motion; in a slow and very controlled manner.
  • Rest at least 30 seconds and no more than 90 seconds between sets of each exercise; and 1 to 2 minutes between each exercise.
  • Stay hydrated! There’s nothing worse than getting dehydrated and having to stop training for the day. Be sure to drink at least the minimum recommended 8-10 glasses of water each and every day; dehydration can make you weak, have headaches, and if it’s an ongoing problem it can even make you sick.
