Cameras For Summer Adventures

Summer is coming, is it time for a new camera? Let’s see what DealDash has on offer.

This is a cute but rugged camera you don’t have to be afraid to hand it over to your 6 year old to take a picture.

Best for Active Lifestyles: GoPro Hero – GoPro Hero has become the gold standard in practically indestructible sports cameras. The GoPro Hero camera mounts easily to your body, gear or vehicle, making it easy to record video with up to 1080p resolution during your favorite activities. Dropped from a high distance? No problem! Want to film surfing selfies? No problem! GoPro!

Best for Serious Hobbyists: Nikon D3200 – This Nikon is actually my dream camera! I have never had the nerve to bid on one on DealDash because I haven’t worked up the nerve to be willing to “Go all the way”. Maybe someday. This is an awesome camera that also shoots videos in 1080p. Perfect for making YouTube videos. You can actually even edit your pictures right within the cameras interface and share them wirelessly. And as an extra awesome bonus, it also comes in red!!!

After you have taken your photo of you and your big (or little!) win head on over to the DealDash Facebook page which is here, and “Like” it. Then you can post your picture to get free bids. Here are the instructions from DealDash describing how to get free bids from Facebook:

1. Select an item you have won on DealDash to feature in the photo.

2. Take a high quality photo clearly showing yourself and the item you won.

3. Post photo to DealDash’s Facebook page and add a description which should include the following information: the item name, retail price, how much you paid for the item and a personal comment about the win as well. For example: “I got this $688 Garmin GPS on @DealDash. I paid just $6.08 and used 62 bids! Thanks DealDash, I will never get lost again!”

4. In the end of the caption, please include the following sentence and the link (See the picture below):

Did You Set your Clock Back? Save Time With DealDash

There are a few groups of people with unlimited amounts of free time – retirees, the housebound, the extremely wealthy, but what about the rest of us? Time is money!

I don’t know about you, but as a busy Mom of three kids I don’t have a lot of spare time to go around. I can get every single one of those items that I mentioned, and more, by just sitting in the comfort of my own home and bidding on the auctions for the things that I need. And with BidBuddy, I don’t even have to BE there to bid! I can just set my BidBuddy up and check back later to see if I won or if I will be BINning (Buying It Now).

In case you aren’t familiar with the BidBuddy, the BidBuddy places bids for you after you have programmed in the amount of bids that you would like to place. It waits until the last 2-3 seconds to bid. You can put a limit on how many bids will be used. And you can cancel or add more bids to it at any time. What’s So Different About DealDash? Part 2

As we discussed on Wednesday, DealDash is very different from their competition in many different ways. Here are some more ways that DealDash is head and shoulders above the rest.

FREE shipping – DealDash offers FREE shipping on every single item, no matter how big or how small. I was really amazed when I found that out. Other sites offer free shipping on just gift cards, or small items and have excessive “handling charges” on other items. And some sites even charge to ship gift cards! Not only do they charge to ship them, they overcharge. To ship a single gift card with a receipt in an envelope should just be the cost of 1 stamp. However, some sites are charging upwards of $2 to ship a single gift card. However, at DealDash they have shipped me large pieces of furniture (a sewing armoire, bookshelves, exercise bike, rowing machine) for absolutely 100% free.
Fast shipping – Not only does DealDash ship out everyone’s items for free, they ship them fast. I admit it, I have bid on countless other auction sites before I found DealDash, and some places took so long to ship my items I had totally forgotten that I had won them once the items arrived. With DealDash, I have had a few items literally arrive the next day after I had paid for my auction. That’s rare, of course, but what’s not so rare (but still awesome!) is getting the item that you paid for within 3-5 days.
Opportunities to get free bids – Every single winner of a DealDash auction that has been paid for an received has a chance to get free bids by posting on social media web sites. If you have Facebook, Twitter, Google+, or Pinterest, you have chances to get free bids by taking photos of yourself with your winning item. DealDash Helps Prevent Boredom

As someone who just had stomach surgery this week I am bedridden for another few days. DealDash helps me from becoming too bored.

That’s why they call it “Entertainment Shopping.” DealDash helps in two distinct ways to overcome boredom. The first way, of course, is just by bidding and winning on DealDash itself.

I don’t know about you, but personally I can spend hours at a time on DealDash without even bidding! I love to look at the upcoming auctions, read the descriptions, and see what amounts of money that the item has won for in the past. If I decide that there is something that I want to bid on then I do a search to see if there are more than one of the particular item up for bid, and when it’s coming up. Then of course I bookmark the auctions that I have chosen so I remember to come back later.

I also love to look at the Winners section to see what kind of awesome deals that people have been getting that day, or alternately, who got in over their head and bid far, far too much for an item. It’s fun for me to see what people are winning as “first time winners” as well.

The second way that DealDash can help alleviate boredom, of course, is by enjoying the things that you win on DealDash! DealDash has so many wonderful things that can keep you entertained, even when you are bedridden, like myself.

A few suggestions on things that you can bid on to alleviate boredom:

Cold? DealDash Can Warm You Up!

As I’m writing this sitting in Boston, it was one degree today. ONE DEGREE! Luckily, DealDash has some great items to warm you up.

Let’s start with the most obvious things, space heaters! DealDash has a few different space heaters up for auction at various times, there are different ones that are purely utilitarian and others that provide warmth as well as being very decorative as well.

There are some other great things that DealDash has that can help you warm up, such as a heating pad, or even an electric blanket. Both of these items can be a great comfort to you if you stick either one of them in your bed at night and turn them on about 10 minutes before you go to bed at night. They will heat up your bed and make it nice and toasty warm for you when you slid in under the covers. However, please make sure that you turn them off before you actually go to sleep, though.
