Neato Keeps My House Neat & Tidy

Everyone has heard of robot vacuum cleaners, but my favorite one has not gotten as much recognition as some of the others – Meet Neato!

Neato is the best robot floor cleaning vacuum that I have ever run across, and I have actually owned 3 different models of a different brand in the past. Well, guess what? They are all piled in the closet now, because the Neato XV Signature is all I need!

One of my favorite features that Neato has is he tells you when his dust bin and filter need to be cleaned. It really takes a lot of the guesswork out of keeping him in good running shape. He also thanks you when you complete his request, which I think is just adorable!

Neato politely requests that you empty his dust bin and thanks you after you complete his request.

Another feature that I love about Neato is he is very easy to program. There are only a few choices on his menu, and it just takes a few pushes of a button to set his clock and then to set the days and times that you would like him to clean.

Neato Robotics has not been around as long of some of the other brands, they launched their first robot in 2010, but they have really improved the world of robotic vacuums since then. The Neato is different than some of the other robot vacuums because it doesn’t just randomly roam around the room, the Neato travels in straight line patterns that are partially overlapped, it has a laser that scans the room in a full 360° circle, and also maps the room being vacuumed while it is completing its task, which is really nothing short of amazing. The Neato XV series robot is even able to return to his home base by himself when he’s running out of power, and is able to remember where he left off cleaning, and continues to clean at the exact spot where he left off after he recharges himself.

I absolutely adore my Neato! I have him clean the bottom floor of my house every second day, and it really makes a difference when I do a big vacuuming with my Dyson at the end of the week. Before I won my Neato I was vacuuming every other day myself, it’s really great to be able to save so much time and scale down my time vacuuming to about an hour a week instead of 4 hours a week! And if you have pets you are in luck, no more vacuuming up fur everyday – Neato makes a robot vacuum specifically for pet owners.  So you see, Neato really makes life easier, and saves you time so you can enjoy your downtime instead of doing chores after work.

I was lucky enough to win my Neato on DealDash, and since these are a “1 Item Per User” on DealDash there is an increasingly high chance that the next person could get one at an even better deal. Speaking frankly, though, I am considering buying a second one at full price for the second floor of my home, so I could have two Neatos vacuuming both levels at once, they are just that good!

If you’re interested in seeing a small demonstration of my Neato and how he works, please visit my YouTube video below. And if you are interested in more DealDash themed videos feel free to subscribe to my channel while you are there, everyone is welcome! Good luck and happy bidding to all.

This Article Will “Tide” You Over While You Wait for a Detergent Auction Start

A history of Tide Detergent.

Do you have a certain smell that you remember from childhood? Does the scent of cookies baking remind you of your Mother or Grandmother?

Well, one of my favorite “scent memories” is Tide laundry detergent. The fresh clean smell takes me back to being a small kid and helping my Mom in the laundry room, loading up the clothes, measuring and pouring the Tide into the little cup. It may sound a little silly that one sniff of that wonderful fresh laundry detergent scent can take me back to childhood, but it’s actually a scientific fact. It’s really very interesting, I will tell you a little bit about how it works.

First, the olfactory nerve, which carries the sensory information for the sense of smell, is located very close to the amygdala. The amygdala is the the area of the brain that is connected to the experience of emotion and emotional memory. In addition, the olfactory nerve is very close to the hippocampus, which is also associated with memory. So basically, every time you smell a new scent you are creating a new memory.

Even though Tide makes me remember fond childhood memories, they have really made leaps and bounds of progress since I was a child in the 80s. The Tide Detergent brand was introduced to consumers starting in 1946, coming as a white powdered bead. In 1984 they started making the Tide of my childhood memories, a clear liquid detergent with a slight orange tint. Today, however, most (but not all!) of the different types of Tide are a bluish-color.

In addition to the liquid Tide that is so popular, they have also introduced the wildly popular Tide Pods. Tide Pods are such an innovative way to do laundry, it really takes the guesswork out; You just pop one in and you’re ready to get those clothes clean!

Here are a few bullet points from the Tide website:

  • Detergent + stain remover + brightener in one
  • Innovative, multi-chamber design separates ingredients until they hit the wash for outstanding cleaning power
  • No more measuring or spilling. Just toss one in!
  • Dissolves quickly in front & top load machines
  • Available in three scents: Spring Meadow, Ocean Mist & Mystic Forest

If you think that you are ready to give Tide Pods a try, DealDash has them available almost daily. However, if you like your tried and true liquid detergent, you’re in luck! DealDash has that, also. No matter what your preference, liquid or Pods, DealDash has you covered! Go check it out, book your Bid Buddy, and secure a win on a great product.

That’s My Pet: Bird

“Mom, Dad, can I have a pet?” Is this a familiar question in your house? It certainly is in mine, and we are in good company. It’s estimated that over 60% of American households have at least one pet.

In this DealDash Blog series we will highlight different pets, give some basic facts about pet ownership, and hopefully help you make informed decisions about your new furry, feathered, or finned family member. Let’s get started!

Today’s pet is the bird. As a person who spent a few years working at a pet store, I can say that pet birds are extremely popular, especially the less expensive ones such as a parakeet. However, if you live near one of the bigger pet stores they tend to have a large variety of pet birds, from the inexpensive to extremely expensive, such as a large parrot like an African Grey.

In my experience working at the pet store and seeing all of the birds come and go, I would say that my favorite kind of bird that was a nice balance of price and personality was the Sun Conure.

The Sun Conure is an absolutely gorgeous bird with an awesome, playful personality that delights just about everyone that they come into contact with. They are intelligent, playful, and are significantly quieter if kept as single pets instead of a pair. Sun Conures make good pet birds for a family because of their sociable, upbeat and affectionate personality. However, if they are kept as a single, be prepared to spend a lot of time interacting with them, as they are prone to picking at their feathers when bored and lonely.

Sun Conures have an adventurous attitude and are quite active – no boring branch sitters here! They entertain themselves in many ways, such as by playing in their water bowls or during bath time, playing with toys on the floor, or riding around on your shoulder.

Of course, the first question that most people have when talking about pet birds is: Does it talk? And yes, Sun Conures can learn words and phrases. You will never have a heart to heart talk with this bird, but it can definitely learn enough language to amuse you and your friends.

There are many many wonderful birds that can make great pets, and they mostly need the same items to keep them healthy and happy. Here is a list of the must-haves:

  • Cage of an appropriate size to your bird
  • A variety of perches for him to sit on
  • Cage lining (even just newspaper can work well)
  • Food – a variety of food is best, including commercialized seed, fresh fruits and veggies, calcium, treats
  • Toys – a variety is best, including small bells/balls, ropes, mirrors
  • Cleaning supplies that are safe to use with your friend
  • Food and water dishes
  • And of course…The name of a vet who specializes (or at least accepts) birds

If you’re looking into getting a pet bird, DealDash has a few of the above items available, please click here to see the auctions.

I hope that this article has helped you understand a little bit about setting up a home for a new feathered friend. If you are in the market for a cage or feeder, pet store gift card, or any other pet-related items head on over to DealDash‘s “Other” section and see what they have up for bid today. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

How DealDash Helps My Family

Deal Dash has been influential in my life; especially how it has allowed me to help get new clothes for my granddaughter.

Because my daughter is a single parent and children grow so quickly, it can sometimes be a challenge to keep up with their fast growth and continuously buying new clothes. I do my best to help out and therefore try to win gift cards to TJX, Gap, Macy’,s and her most favorite store.. Justice!

The savings I get on the gift cards by shopping on DealDash afforded me to buy her the warmest winter parka, extra jogging outfits, hats, and more. Since we live in the Northeast, kids need everything to be warm in the winter and clothes can be so expensive! Deal Dash has become my clever way to save money and give a little something extra to my granddaughter.

When I first started bidding on DealDash.com I took the time to stay the course and try to win. Sometimes, auctions would take a long time but as a Grandma, I’ve got a lot of patience and I will do anything to help out. I took the time to read the blogs and get bidding tips like Top Tips, Winning Strategies And Ways To Get Free Bids. By learning how to play and utilizing the opportunities DealDash offers, I was able to make some really great deals! For me shopping on DealDash has made a real difference in taking some of the financial stress off my daughter by helping out and taking my granddaughter shopping. Besides, what little girl doesn’t love new clothes?

Like most senior citizens, I am on Social Security so I am limited on spending. My granddaughter is 8 years old and understands the concept of Deal Dash. I must say she is one of the best dressed and of course always excited to see those gift cards! Thank you Deal Dash… but are you ever going to bring back the Justice gift cards? 😉

Sincerely, Grandmadebbie

What you didn’t know about BidBuddy

I have written in the past about the use of DealDash’s Bid Buddy system. It is a great tool, to win auctions.

However it is also a great tool to learn how and when other players bid. Over the past few months I have really watched the patterns that some players have, and I started all of this with the Bid Buddy.

As you know the Bid Buddy books automatic bids, so if you want to step away from an auction and still participate in the auction, you are able to. However I have began to use it for more than just that. Each auction has a countdown timer, as to when it will begin. It is important to pay attention to this timer. When it hits 10 seconds the auction is now live.

My secret is to enter my automatic bids as close to 10 seconds as possible. This gives me a point of reference in the auction. If I manage to enter my bids at 11 or 12 seconds, I should be the last automatic bidder. When my name comes up in the auction, it is fairly simple to tell how many automatic bidders there are which can be really valuable information.

If my first automatic bid comes up early (15 to 20 cents) I know that there are only a few other bidders that I need to beat out. If it happens to be between myself and another automatic bidder, I will jump on that bidder so that they use their automatic bids, and hopefully no one else enters the auction, and I can win. These are just suggestions, however they can be useful. Hope they are helpful when you’re planning your next penny auction bidding strategy on DealDash.com.
