Makia Clothing has Invaded DealDash!

Makia Clothing has Invaded DealDash! And we LOVE it!

Have you seen all of the new Makia Clothing products that have been showing up on DealDash lately? There are a HUGE number of awesome Makia Clothing gear available, let me show you – starting with hats, we have the Makia Cap in Asphalt gray, Navy blue, and my personal favorite, the Makia Rooibos Tea Calypso Cap, which is a burnt sienna type of color.

 

 

Other than hats there are also backpacks and bags available – my favorite is the Sailor Bag in black and pink, but there is also a Duffle Bag and a backpack, both available in denim.

 

 

Makia is a clothing company that was founded in 2001 and based out of Helsinki, Finland. They offer a great variety of clothing, including both men’s and women’s styles, as well as gender-neutral items such as the hats and bags above, but they also offer scarves and wallets which we will hopefully be seeing on DealDash  soon!

Makia Clothing loves sports, they were actually a sponsor of the first ever Winter Olympic Team Zimbabwe last year! Makia provided the outfits for team Zimbabwe. In addition to winter sports, they also love racing! As a Southern girl transplanted up North I appreciate racing as much as the next girl! The Makia Racing Team was founded in 2012, and their star driver is Kimi Raikkonen, who drives for team Ferrari. They have come out with a line of racing gear such as hats, hoodies, and tee shirts. If we’re lucky maybe DealDash will start having Makia Racing gear available as well!

In addition to sports the folks at Makia Clothing love beer! Makia’s newest collection is actually inspired by it! They love beer so much that they decided to dedicate their whole spring-summer 2015 collection around it. They went on a multi-country expedition to get to know their muse a little better, and I have to say it was a success!

Tonfisk Design Elevates Style for the Kitchen

Tonfisk Design is an awesome company from Finland that really knows their way around the kitchen…With style!

Translated from Swedish, Tonfisk actually means “tuna fish”, which might sound a little strange, but when you see their products you will forget their quirky name and enjoy the clean elegant style that the Finnish are known for. You might wonder who makes all of these interesting products – the main designer is Brian Keaney, however the company has taken products into production from several different Finnish designers.

Tonfisk Design has a lot of interesting and different things to explore, one of my favorites is actually an extendable flower vase – perfect for when someone brings you flowers that are just too short or tall for any vases you have. It’s made of two parts, the lower part is made of porcelain and the upper part is made of laminated oak or walnut. The upper part can be raised or lowered to fit your flower’s height and still look great. This flower vase from Tonfisk Designs is called KasVu, in case you would like to do a little more research on it.

Another Tonfisk Designs favorite of mine is the “WARM” collection. WARM is a tea and coffee set that combines ceramic teacups and teapots with bracelets of laminated bent wood. Held on by friction, the wood acts as a handle and also insulates your tea or coffee. Since its launch in 1998 WARM tea and coffee set has become a ‘mini classic’ of Finnish and Scandinavian design.

If you’re like me you want to be sure that it’s easy to clean all of your kitchen items. You might ask yourself, “Can I use a dishwasher with these products?” The answer is YES! You can wash these products in the dish washer. All of the Tonfisk Design products are tested and certified for safety and have a food safe and durable glaze. You can also clean the wooden parts with a wet cloth. However, afterwards you should dry the parts at room temperature with good air circulation. The wooden parts are waterproof in normal use, however you should definitely avoid leaving the wooden parts in water and getting soaked, though. If this should happen, remove the handles from the water and leave them to dry on a table for a day or so. The handles should return to their original shape.

Almost every woman I know loves purses. You can be any shape or size, and you can always be sure that when you buy a purse it will fit, unlike some other articles of clothing!

Most of the women I know love leather purses. They are so soft and durable, if you take good care of them they can last many years to come. A nice high quality purse is truly an investment. Cookut Cooks With Syle

Do you have small kids who are just learning how to measure out ingredients and set the timer? My family loves to cook together, and Cookut makes it fun for all ages.

Cookut has extremely cute and useful products including bottle stoppers, egg timers, cutting boards, coffee cups, and so many more. These products are not only functional, but very useful and so cute, too. They have a series of fun and colorful animal designs including blue dragon, pink pig, red crab, gray elephant, and purple elk. These animal figures come in salt & pepper shakers, egg cups, bottle stoppers, and egg timers. My kids adore these kitchen implements from Cookut, and I’m sure your kids or grand kids will, too.

You might not have heard of Cookut yet, or seen their products at your local store, but they are based in France and have stores all across Europe. They are relatively unknown as of yet in the USA, however they do have a few select stores in the USA and Hong Kong.

Cookut believes in diversity in their designs, and utilizes 9 different designers for its products. Their brand is new, but they are already gaining respect and recognition in the design world, they were featured in the 2015 Maison & Objet trade show in Singapore last month. Cookut is an up and coming brand that you will be seeing a lot more of the in the future.

 

Do you like innovative products and new inventions? Well, Cookcut is definitely a brand that you should be looking into. Their newest product is a coffee mug with a silicone carrying handle. Is that smart or what?! You can pour your scalding hot coffee or boiling water for tea in the mug and pick it right up without worrying that it’s going to burn you. The cups are white in color, and they have many different color choices for the handle including blue, green, pink, and black. If you like the clean yet colorful design of the cups, they also have matching tea pots.

Another great thing about Cookut is they actually offers a two year warranty on almost every single product that they sell, including their knives! There are a very few exceptions that I was able to find, and these were the case that their knife set comes in, and the coating on the pans does not fall under the warranty if you happen to use a metal utensil and scratch it.
