Be Kind to the Newbies on DealDash

Everyone was a newbie at DealDash at one time, so let’s try and make our new arrivals feel welcome.

Once upon a time I was a newbie on DealDash, and while I felt intimidated by all of the other thousands of DealDash members that bid on auctions each day I was lucky enough to never run into anyone that made me feel unwelcome.

Quite the contrary, I actually was “given” a few auctions when I was new. I didn’t realize it at the time, but looking back I now realize that older, wiser bidders conceded a few auctions to me when I was fresh on DealDash and they could see that my sign up date was within the past few days. I wish I had caught their DealDash user names so I could thank them publically, but that was years ago and I have a terrible memory. So instead I try to “pay it forward” when I get a chance to help out a newbie that has only been bidding on DealDash for a few days. I would hate to be the person that scared off a DealDash newbie.

If you are a newbie and are reading this blog in hope of learning some DealDash tips, let me give you an important tip to take away with you – give respect to other bidders and they should give respect back to you. If you are a total newbie to DealDash one of the biggest ways to show respect to your fellow bidders is to not “jump” on other people’s bids. Jumping on someone’s bid basically means to bid immediately after someone without letting the first person’s “time clock” run down to a couple of seconds. You see, not all newbies know this, but DealDash does a wonderful thing for their bidders – for every second that someone is the highest bidder in an auction they earn “free time” that is shown at a bar on the bottom of the screen. When the bar is filled up then DealDash will give you however many free bids that you are eligible to “claim.”

When a bidder “jumps the clock” and bids right away after someone else does it usually makes the other person very annoyed, and depending on the person they may overbid on the auction just to win to spite you. Two wrongs don’t make a right, but when a bidder feels disrespected on DealDash a lot of them tend to retaliate by overbidding. It’s also possible that they might remember your user name and re-pay the bid jumping in a future auction. Just to be on the safe side I would wait until there are only 2-3 seconds left on the time clock before you throw in your bid if you are bidding manually instead of using the BidBuddy.

Let’s all try to be kind to each other and show respect to the other bidders. Now go check out the auctions and pick something awesome to bid on! See you on DealDash everyone! Good luck and happy bidding.

Switching Up Your DealDash Strategy

Do you always bid the same way on DealDash? What’s been working for you in the past might not work in the future. Switch it up!

Are you only sporadic bidder who doesn’t visit DealDash very often? If you are the sort of bidder to pick a few random auctions and put in 10 bids here, 10 bids there, jumping around from auction to auction without any sort of cohesive plan then perhaps you should change up your strategy. Take your time, do a little research. Don’t be impulsive, be mindful of where your bids are going. It can only help you if you try a different strategy instead of throwing a few bids here and there. It’s very difficult to win that way.

On the other extreme, do you go decide what you want to bid on days or weeks before you even sign into DealDash? Do you make a plan beforehand then go through all of the different options on DealDash and patiently wait for your optimal auction to begin? Maybe you should switch up your strategy a bit and bid on something that you have admired in the past but haven’t yet done the research that you would normally perform before bidding. If other bidders know you as more cautious and less impulsive it might throw them off of their game and leave you victorious. Give it a chance!

Are you determined to win at all costs, no matter if you go over the BIN (Buy It Now) price? If you are the sort of bidder who jumps headfirst into every auction no matter who is bidding or how many people are in the auction then maybe it’s time to switch up your style. Typically unless you are a well-known power bidder that people are scared of, then this strategy wastes money and bids in my opinion. It’s much smarter to put bids into your BidBuddy and then check back on the auction occasionally, so how about giving a more gentle and less headstrong approach a chance next time.

What strategy do you use? Try a new strategy next time and see what happens. Remember, if your new strategy doesn’t work out for you you can always just BIN  the auction for retail price and get all of your bids back to try a different strategy next time. Now go check out the auctions and see what you would really like to bid on. See you on DealDash everyone! Good luck and happy bidding.

Taking a Close Look at Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games

During the summer one of the “hottest” categories on DealDash is the Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games section. Let’s see what everyone is bidding on this summer.

The Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games category has tons of fun things for kids and kids at heart alike. There is sports equipment like bikes, trampolines, and swimming pools which are always great things to try and win to please the whole family. The pools are especially great because they can be set up and taken down and stored for the next summer. In addition to sports equipment there are also some “grown up toys” such as projector screens for the backyard, drones, and even go karts! The Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games category truly has something for everyone.

If you look past the wildly popular items that I listed above there are also some hidden gems in the Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games category. For instance, did you know that you can find gun cabinets in this category? It’s true! Just take a peek at this link right here. Another awesome item that is hiding in this category is a set that has an electric guitar and amp! Who would have ever thought that you would be able to get an electric guitar on DealDash? If you don’t believe me just click this link right here and take a look for yourself!

Lastly, but certainly not least, one of my favorite DealDash items LEGOS are in the Hobbies, Toys, Outdoors, and Games category. There are Lego sets for everyone, from the Friends sets for little girls all the way up to huge Creator sets that are meant for teenagers and adults. If you would like to see all of the Lego sets that are currently offered as well as upcoming sets just click here.

DealDash Winning Limits Have Changed!

In case you didn’t notice the banner on DealDash.com over the weekend, I am here to annouce that the structure of the winning limits have changed.

Are you a big bidder on DealDash? Do you find yourself filling up all of your slots to win items on DealDash just a day or two after they have opened back up? Are you the sort of person who win all of your items right away and find yourself hoping, wishing, and dreaming that you could still play on DealDash and are saddened when you realize that you still have a week until you can play on DealDash again?

Well good news, people! The winning limits on DealDash have completely changed. The 100% official news fro DealDash is as follows:

To ensure equal chances for everyone, you may win the same item only once per week. All remaining BidBuddies on other auctions for the same item will be automatically cancelled at the time of your win.

In case you need a bit of a simple explanation, that means that you could conceivably win TONS of auctions per week, if there were enough auctions that you were interested in that were for different items, that is. Want to win 2 iPads or 2 Xboxes in a week? Well, you’re out of luck there, however if you want to win a few different items every single day for a week you can definitely do that. Every week your winning limit will reset and you will be able to win more of the same items that you won the previous week.

Please keep these new wining limits in mind, because once you have won a particular item your other BidBuddies that you have set for identical items will be cancelled and your bids that were remaining in your BidBuddies will be returned to your account. This could become a bad situation for you if you are bidding on two identical items simultaneously, and have invested bids into both auctions. If you happen to win the first auction the BidBuddy for the second auction would immediately be cancelled. The remaining bids that were in your BidBuddy would be returned to your account, however all of the bids that you had already spent in that second auction would not be returned. So my advice to you would be to only bid on one similar auction at a time. Better safe than sorry.

This blog and it’s comments are monitored by the DealDash Community Manager, so if you have any questions about the new policy that this blog has not answered please feel free to leave a question in the comments section. I am a big fan of this new policy, I hope that you feel the same! Good luck and happy bidding everyone!

DealDash Wants You to Save Money

DealDash know that life can be expensive. That’s why they strive to save you money at every turn.

Saving money is something that most people think about regularly, budgeting and planning for life’s different events can be a little difficult sometimes. DealDash understands your frustrations and actively participates in your goals to save by bringing you quality products that can literally be won with 1 bid and 1 penny. I have won countless (OK, maybe not countless, I can definitely count to 50!) auctions with a single bid. I can’t even begin to describe the excitement that is felt when you win an auction with 1 bid that you would have otherwise spent $20-$25 or even more on at the store.

Every time you bid on any of the auctions on DealDash you have a chance of getting a great discounted price, and occasionally a practically free item. However, even if you don’t win them you are still earning clock time towards free bids that you get to keep even if you end up BINning (Buy It Now) and getting all of your bids back. So you can see, DealDash wants you to be able to earn clock time towards free bids that can be used on any auction that you like, even on the special days where there is a 50% or 100% off the final auction fee days. Remember, if you don’t win you can always BIN (Buy It Now and get all of your bids back.)

I like to use DealDash to get great deals on items that I would normally be buying anyway, so if I end up BINning the item I am not actually spending more than my regular budget. I love DealDash because I can have some fun by bidding and winning, but also by being responsible and sticking to my budget by using the BIN feature.

After reading this article I hope that you have a great feeling about your budget and saving money. How about checking out some auctions DealDash and throwing in a few bids here and there? You never know what you might win with just a few bids. There are all types of items in many different categories that are just waiting for you to go bid on them. Go find some awesome products. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!
