We’re going to review a few auction bidding tips you should always consider when bidding in the auctions on DealDash.

1. Always buy bids on sale: as you may know there are a variety of different promotions and sales happening almost every day. When you need to stock up on more bids make sure you know when the next sale is coming up (you can see this from the main page on DealDash.com) and try to buy them whenever the price hits 15¢ per bid. If the price ever drops below 15¢ per bid, you better stock up because that’s rare!

2. Make sure that whatever auction catches your eye and creates that sweet sparkle, make sure it’s something that you could really use or give as a gift to best friends wedding or graduations present for your niece. As long as you’re bidding on something you want or that could be useful, you’re safe – especially if you don’t win the auction! All items sold on DealDash are brand new and come with the Buy it Now option. How DealDash Helps My Family

Deal Dash has been influential in my life; especially how it has allowed me to help get new clothes for my granddaughter.

Like most senior citizens, I am on Social Security so I am limited on spending. My granddaughter is 8 years old and understands the concept of Deal Dash. What you didn’t know about BidBuddy

I have written in the past about the use of DealDash’s Bid Buddy system. It is a great tool, to win auctions.

However it is also a great tool to learn how and when other players bid. Over the past few months I have really watched the patterns that some players have, and I started all of this with the Bid Buddy.

As you know the Bid Buddy books automatic bids, so if you want to step away from an auction and still participate in the auction, you are able to. However I have began to use it for more than just that. Each auction has a countdown timer, as to when it will begin. It is important to pay attention to this timer. When it hits 10 seconds the auction is now live.

My secret is to enter my automatic bids as close to 10 seconds as possible. This gives me a point of reference in the auction. If I manage to enter my bids at 11 or 12 seconds, I should be the last automatic bidder. When my name comes up in the auction, it is fairly simple to tell how many automatic bidders there are which can be really valuable information.

If my first automatic bid comes up early (15 to 20 cents) I know that there are only a few other bidders that I need to beat out. If it happens to be between myself and another automatic bidder, I will jump on that bidder so that they use their automatic bids, and hopefully no one else enters the auction, and I can win. WIN It or BIN It | How to Play Responsibly

My Advice when bidding on online auctions is to bid responsibly by not spending more money than you can afford.

Being responsible is expected with any kind of bidding sites as it is with gambling sites because in a sense, it is somewhat similar gambling. You have to set your limit and stick to it, otherwise, you will waste your money, time and resources and you won’t be having fun.

By setting limits, seek auctions that you would pay for out in the “real” world, auctions that have a Buy it Now (BIN) price that fits your budget. With DealDash, if you are bidding on an auction and don’t win it, you have the option to BIN it and get your bids back. It’s a Win-Win for everyone!

Another technique is to wait for the specials. I get emails on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis from DealDash telling me about discounted bid packages and holiday specials going on. Part of my DealDash bidding strategy is to buy the bid packages when they are on sale at 15 cents to save myself money and peruse the site for items I’m willing to BIN and wait for them.

I will watch the timer to see when they start and tend to pick the ones where there is less “competition”, i.e. the middle of the night based on my research. Personally I find these auctions are less crowded, offering me more opportunity to win with less bids and money out of pocket. How about you? What time of day do you find best for bidding?

When it comes to winning auctions on DealDash there are a variety of tips and strategies to keep in mind.

Here are a few great examples shared from experienced DealDash bidders that continue to win auctions and come back to DealDash again and again to do their gift giving shopping for their family and friends.

1. Stay focused on one auction at a time and concentrate bids to that particular auction.

Many times we hear from people that have not won an auction in many weeks and that it’s just too hard to win. Winning is certainly very important to the bidding experience and it can become very discouraging if you’re not winning auctions. When was the last time you had a look at your bidding history or thought specifically about what type of bidding strategy you are using? Does your bidding history (dashboard > bidding history) look a bit like this picture below with 1 or maybe 2 bids on several different auctions?

If you’ve been placing a few random bids on hundreds of different auctions and have not won anything, you may want to change up your bidding strategy and become more focused on what you are bidding on.

2. Set your budget and decide in advance the number of bids to use in the auction which is equivalent to the Buy it Now price for the auction item.

Setting a budget is very important and part of what responsible bidding is all about. Look at the Buy it Now price of an auction and figure out how many bids it makes sense to use in the auction. Know when it’s a good time to back out of the auction and use the Buy it Now to get your bids back in case other bidders are just not stopping. This will help ensure you are not overbidding or overspending.

3. Don’t go over the budget. Only use the amount of bids you budgeted to try and win it.

Tip number three is to stick to tip number two and not go over budget! Simple as that.

4. If you don’t win the auction, always buy the item using the Buy it Now and get your bids back so you don’t lose the bids either.

A great tip is to only bid on items you need or want and are planning on buying anyway. If you’ve got a few hundred bids on your account and you absolutely know you are going to need a new set of kitchen pots and pans. Why not take those bids and bid for a new set on DealDash for a chance to win the pots and pans set at 90% off retail? If you don’t win them, simply buy them and get your bids back.
