Bidding rapidly will only waste your bids and inflate the auction price. Bid strategically, or book a BidBuddy to do it for you.
The DealDash BidBuddy allows you to bid on auctions even when you can’t be on the computer yourself. It will automatically place bids for you within last seconds of the auction clock. The majority of auctions are won with the BidBuddy.
Whenever you win an auction with the BidBuddy, all unused bids are returned back to your bid balance.
However it is also a great tool to learn how and when other players bid. Over the past few months I have really watched the patterns that some players have, and I started all of this with the Bid Buddy.
As you know the Bid Buddy books automatic bids, so if you want to step away from an auction and still participate in the auction, you are able to. However I have began to use it for more than just that. Each auction has a countdown timer, as to when it will begin. It is important to pay attention to this timer. When it hits 10 seconds the auction is now live.
My secret is to enter my automatic bids as close to 10 seconds as possible. This gives me a point of reference in the auction. If I manage to enter my bids at 11 or 12 seconds, I should be the last automatic bidder. When my name comes up in the auction, it is fairly simple to tell how many automatic bidders there are which can be really valuable information.
If my first automatic bid comes up early (15 to 20 cents) I know that there are only a few other bidders that I need to beat out. If it happens to be between myself and another automatic bidder, I will jump on that bidder so that they use their automatic bids, and hopefully no one else enters the auction, and I can win. These are just suggestions, however they can be useful. Hope they are helpful when you’re planning your next penny auction bidding strategy on DealDash.com.
In yesterdays blog post by Kim Finnegan, an experienced bidder who has been shopping on DealDash.com since September 2012 with over 150 auction wins, questioned the highly used BidBuddy DealDash currently has as an option for bidding. The BidBuddy is your automated bidding tool which allows you to plug-in any number of bids you have available on your bid balance and let the auction ride in hopes others will not bid and you’ll have that sweet taste of victory and lovely explosion of fireworks!
The BidBuddy will place your bid at the very final second of the auction while you sit back and watch or go on with your daily activities of work, sleep, play, or whatever requires your attention. Having your bid placed at the final second of the auction is a viable strategy as it conserves your bids while others place single bids, perhaps unaware your BidBuddy is locked and loaded. Don’t take the word “locked” the wrong way, you can cancel your BidBuddy at anytime and all the unused bids will be deposited back to your bid balance and can be used again at anytime. One can also add more bids to the BidBuddy as well without having to cancel and re-book as shown in this lovely and colorful snippet of the BidBuddy Box.
So the BIG question Kim asked is… Should BidBuddy Be Required? These are only the results gathered so far since the question was asked yesterday, July 8th, however so far the results are split fairly evenly.
