Have You Taken the DealDash Tutorial?

DealDash tutorial

Have you taken the DealDash tutorial yet? It’s a fun way to learn the ins and outs of bidding on DealDash.

You didn’t learn how to walk or talk overnight, and winning auctions isn’t something you can learn to do overnight, either. However, DealDash has made the process so much easier and more fun by implementing a DealDash tutorial so you can see how the auctions work before you use up any of your bids playing against real bidders. In this DealDash blog article, I am going to show you how the DealDash tutorial works.

Find the Tutorial

First, you will want to find the tutorial. Check in the “Help” section on the site.

How to Bid With the DealDash Tutorial

The tutorial will enter you into a pretend auction for a bid pack of 10 bids. You will see that your bids are being used to participate in this tutorial, but DealDash will return them to you after the tutorial, and you will get to keep the bid pack of 10 bids that you “win” as well. Even if you know how to play DealDash, you should take the tutorial anyway so you can snag your 10 free bids. Every little bit helps!

How Does the Tutorial Work?

The tutorial is an easy to understand game that takes you through a fictional DealDash auction and tells you exactly what to do, and also tells you what the other “players” are doing. These other players are not real people, they are just there to show you how other people bid in auctions. At first, the tutorial shows you how to bid by placing single bids with the “Bid Now” button.

The DealDash Tutorial will also teach you how to use the automated bidding tool, BidBuddy. Most auctions are won by using the BidBuddy, so this is an important skill to learn.

Let’s Bake, DealDash Style!

DealDash Bakes

Baking is a fun and delicious hobby you can share with your family. DealDash has everything you need to get started.

Baking with your family, especially your children or grandchildren can be a very rewarding hobby. There’s nothing like making memories with the people that you love the most. Who loves to bake? Everyone from Grannies to Aunties to kids and everyone in-between. Baking is a wonderful hobby because you get to eat the results! What are your favorite DealDash kitchen supplies? Personally, I love my KitchenAid stand mixer. They come in all different colors – I have pink!

You’ll Need Some Baking Pans

If you’re planning on making cakes, cookies, muffins, or just about anything in the oven you’re going to need some baking pans, cookie sheets, and muffin tins. DealDash has many different pans for you to choose from, just pick which ones that you feel that you’ll get the most use out of. Make a list of what types of pans you will need, and what sizes. Then, you can do a search on DealDash and find exactly what you’re looking for.

Get ALL of the Gadgets

Perhaps classic baking just isn’t your style. That’s okay, too, no judgment here. If that’s your situation, no problem! DealDash has tons of fun cooking gadgets that you can win. There are bread makers, toaster ovens, pizza box ovens, waffle makers, and even a mini cupcake maker up for bid on DealDash!

The mini cupcake maker makes seven cupcakes at a time, and is so adorable! This would be the absolute perfect little gadget if you want to start a tradition of baking with your kids or grandkids. All kids love little and cute things – and cupcakes!

Bid on Things You Will BIN

One of the great things about bidding on gear for the kitchen is if you don’t win then you can just BIN (Buy It Now) because they don’t tend to be very expensive. For example, the mini cupcake maker that I was telling you about above has a retail price of just $58. For most people, $58 won’t break the budget too badly, and it’s a good purchase since you’ll get a lot of use out of it. If you are bidding on a kitchen gadget and you don’t win, simply pay the retail price by BINning it, and you’ll get all of your bids back to use again! Thanks, DealDash!

Let’s Not Make These Mistakes on DealDash

DealDash newbie mistakes

There’s no “right” way to bid on DealDash, but there are definitely some wrong ways! Avoid some common mistakes with these tips.

If you are a new DealDash bidder, don’t worry, it’s really easy to get started on DealDash with very little “hard thinking” to do. However, there is a little bit of thinking and planning to do if you want to put your best foot forward and start winning auctions. You’ll need to do a little thinking ahead, planning, and making strategic decisions to avoid making some common mistakes. Here are some ideas and tips from DealDash to help you.

Don’t Get Overwhelmed

Being a new bidder on DealDash can be a little overwhelming. There are so many different auctions, bidders, things to learn, and blinking lights that it can get a little confusing at first. Don’t worry, there are some things that DealDash has implemented to help out new and old bidders alike. The easiest way to not get overwhelmed is to have a firm game plan when you are using the website. Stick to your plan, bid with thought, and be prepared. Those are all things that you will need to keep in mind to help yourself not get too overwhelmed when using DealDash.

Make a Plan, Set Alerts

When you first start bidding on DealDash, a big mistake would be to just start bidding on anything and everything, regardless if you’re really interested in it or not. The best way to avoid this mistake is to set alerts on the things that you really, really want. It’s easy to set an alert on DealDash.

Look through the future auctions (or do a search) on DealDash, and find some that you are interested in bidding on. If there isn’t a starting time listed it means that this is a product that DealDash carries, but there isn’t an auction for this item scheduled yet. You’ll need to set an alert for this auction, don’t worry, it’s easy to do! Just click the button that says “Alert me” and DealDash will send you a quick email when they have scheduled an auction for this item. Easy!

Don’t Be Afraid to BIN an Item

Do you know what BINning an item means? To BIN means to “Buy It Now.” When you BIN an item, you simply pay the retail price of the item and you will get all of your bids back! Yup, it’s that easy! When you have decided that you’re not going to win a particular auction, just stop bidding and hit the “Buy It Now” button. After you’ve paid the retail price for the auction DealDash will immediately credit your account back with all of the bids that you spent on that auction. They will then send out your item with free shipping and tracking (unless it’s a gift card), just like you had won the auction. It would be a huge mistake not to BIN an item that you have lost.

Being Patient, Using Your BidBuddy on DealDash

DEALDASH BLOG PATIENCEWhen you think about good attributes to have as a DealDash bidder, patience is an excellent one.

Everyone can win on DealDash once or twice – but to keep your winning streak going over and over again requires many skills. One of those important skills to have is patience. Patience is a great skill to have in many aspects of life, and DealDash auctions are just one of them. Success in life and on DealDash requires patience, wisdom, and skill. It will take effort, attention, and time, but you can learn how to be successful on DealDash by using patience.

Watch Before You Bid

Before you start bidding in DealDash auctions it’s very important to learn from other bidders in the auctions. You need to use patience and watch plenty of auctions before you make the decision to bid. You don’t want to win just anything on DealDash, do you?

For example, what good is winning ladies’ perfume if you don’t wear perfume, and you don’t have anyone in mind to give the perfume to as a gift? Wouldn’t it be a better idea to be patient and wait a little longer until something that you would really love to win comes up for auction? However, it would still be a good idea to watch that perfume auction, even if you aren’t planning on bidding in it. The more auctions that you watch, the better skills that you will gain.

Use the BidBuddy

Have you met the BidBuddy yet? If you’re lacking patience, perhaps BidBuddy is the solution for you. The BidBuddy is a great tool that DealDash gives (free of charge) to all bidders, that you can put in as many or as few bids as you like. You can cancel it or add more bids at any time. Your BidBuddy will alternate bidding with the other BidBuddies that are set until there are no more bids placed from BidBuddies or other bidders, and whoever has the last bid in before the clock runs out is the winner. The BidBuddy is the epitome of patience, it’s programmed to place your bids just before an auction closes, making it a great way to make sure that you’re maximizing your bids.

Make Every Bid Count

Don’t go tossing your bids all over the place. Think about each and every auction that you enter, and plan things out before you bid. Bid on all of the auctions that you want to, of course, just be mindful about planning things out before you bid. Think twice before you make any mistakes!

Thanks for Reading the DealDash Blog

I hope this article has been helpful and has taught you something new. If you have any questions about any other DealDash processes, check out DealDash’s “Tips & Tricks” section on the site.
