DealDash has been running some pretty awesome promotions lately and end-of-the month clearance sales when multiple auctions start at the same time are a whole lot of fun. If you’re a bit overwhelmed by so many auctions starting at the same time (50 or more!), here are a few helpful hints to keep you level-headed and focused on the win.
Step 1: Preview the Auctions
Take a look all the auctions that are due to start at the same time. Along a great mix of new items, you’ll oftentimes you will notice old favorites you may not have seen in a while so now is the time to bid because you never know when you will see them again.
Step 2: Set Bookmarks & Alerts
When you find the auctions you’d like to bid on, bookmark them and set alerts as reminders. Bookmarks will move the auctions you choose to the “front of the line” and they will appear first on your main page in order of auction time. Setting alerts allows DealDash to email you when the auctions are starting as a reminder.
Step 3: Set Your BidBuddy
Using BidBuddy allows your bids to be placed at just the right moment in the auctions as well as being able to set your own bidding limits. You can get on with life—whether that’s browsing the auctions or making dinner. BidBuddy really allows you to bid with confidence.
Step 4: Another Key Tip About Multiple Auctions
With multiple auctions starting at the same time, you may see an increased number of bidders. Some may want to place a handful of bids in each auction in the hopes of taking a chance and scoring big. My advice is to choose the auctions you really want to win and focus on winning those. I try to limit myself to five to ten auctions max and then place my bids with BidBuddy. I usually throw in a few extra bids because I know there are more people bidding in these types of auctions.
Step 5: Practice Patience
If I could give one key piece of advice on DealDash—multiple auctions or not—it would be this: practice patience. You will deal with multiple bidders. Just carry on. Know that your willingness to demonstrate staying power amidst other competitors sends a clear message: you’re here to stay. Hang in there, be patient and know that win or lose, you’re likely to see the item you want up again for auction soon.
Good luck and happy bidding on DealDash.
