DealDash Goes North!

DealDash launches in Canada

Next March DealDash turns thirteen! We launched in 2009, and a lot has changed since then. If you were bidding on DealDash when we first launched, you had the chance to bid on and win iPods and DVDs, among other things. Now DealDash bidders who are interested in electronics go after smartphones and laptops. Keeping with the theme of change, we have an announcement to make; we are going to Canada! Or, to put it more specifically, we went to Canada already! We launched DealDash Canada earlier this year.

Get ready for international bidding

We opened our doors to Canadians in the beginning of January, 2022, and since then Canadian bidders have won hundreds of auctions. You might have already seen a DealDash Canada review posted by one of these happy auction winners, and we want to congratulate them all.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it

There might be some longtime DealDash bidders who aren’t thrilled with the idea of DealDash changing. After all, there is the classic saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” One concern longtime DealDash bidders could have regarding our expansion to Canada is that now there are more bidders which would make it harder to win auctions.

The good news is that there is no need to worry because we have a simple solution; if there are more bidders then we make sure to have more auctions. We closely monitor things like the amount of bids used to win an auction and the average sales price of an item to ensure that our customers get great deals. In fact, we provide this information to you on the Auction page as the estimated total cost figure. It takes into account the final sales price of an item + the total amount of bids used to provide the amount that the win cost the auction winner.

The estimated total cost is important information that DealDash and DealDash Canada bidders should review.
We welcome our Canadian friends to our auctions while making sure that there are plenty of great deals for everyone.

Change is a constant, both in our lives and also on DealDash. But no matter what, we will make sure that while we keep making changes to improve DealDash for everyone, we will remain true to our values that have shaped the DealDash you know and love.
